On December 29th, the Annual meeting of the China Council for BRICS Think-tank Cooperation and the first Wanshou International Situation Symposium, themed as “ China and the World in the New Era” , was held at the National Science Museum of Renmin University of China. President Zhao Zhongxiu, , addressed the conference as the vice chairman. Wang Jianbo, Dean of the International Office, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, SDUFE was elected as a governing unit with President Zhao Zhongxiu being elected as the vice chairman of the Chinese Council and a member of the newly established think-tank expert committee. Later, Zhao Zhongxiu introduced SDUFE to the participating directors, saying that SDUFE will further integrate and utilize the research resources that think-tank has provided to promote the transformation of old and new kinetic energy in Shandong Province, and the desire to integrate actively into the Belt and Road initiatives.
