Introduction to the Speaker:
Ding Zhaoguo, PhD., Professor of English and Master Tutor of the School of Foreign Studies, visiting scholar of Department of English, Oxford University, member of China Association for the Study of American Literature (CASAL), member of Shandong Foreign Literature Society. Ding Zhaoguo graduatedas anEnglish Language and Literature majoratNanjing University and earned a Ph.D.degree. He mainly studies Western Literary Criticism, British and American Literature. Undergraduate courses taught by Ding Zhaoguo: British Literature, American Literature, Heritage of Western Intellectual Tradition. Graduate courses taught by Ding Zhaoguo: Western Literary Criticism, English postcolonial literature. He has published over 20 papers and translation works in journals asContemporary Foreign Literature,Foreign Literatures,andForeign Theoretical Trendsandthreeacademic and translation works. Ding Zhaoguo has participated inthe two works edition of theNational Planned Teaching Materials and Provincial High-Quality Course Materials.Moreover, he haspresided over projects of the National Social Science Fund of China, Humanities and Social Sciences Program of the Ministry of Education,andfiveprojects at provincial and departmental-level.Lastly, he hasparticipated infivesubjects at ministerial and provincial-level, and honored Teaching and Research Awards fortenprojects at all levels.
