A seminar on the quality evaluation and quality improvement of Sino-foreign cooperative education in Shandong province was held in the Yanshan campus of SDUFE on June 5th. This seminar aims to promote a high-level opening to the outside world and Sino-foreign cooperative education in the new era, and further standardize the management and improve the quality of Sino-foreign cooperative education. Zeng Xianwen, deputy director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Division of Shandong Education Department (presiding over the work), Zhang Deqiang, deputy secretary-general of Shandong Education Association for International Exchange, and director of Ludong University International Division, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Wang Jianbo, director of SDUFE International Exchange and Cooperation Office and executive deputy director of Shandong Research Center of Education International Exchange and Cooperation, presided over the seminar. The seminar invited experts on Chinese-foreign cooperative education review and evaluation from the Ministry of Education to instruct, interpret the policy, and share the experience. More than 100 representatives from over 40 colleges and universities in Shandong province attended the seminar.

        In his speech, Zeng Xianwen stressed that the evaluation of Sino-foreign cooperative education is gradually normalized, standardized, and institutionalized. Colleges and universities should fully understand the vital role of evaluation in improving the quality of Sino-foreign cooperative education and attach great importance to evaluation. He believed that this seminar coincides with the new round of evaluation of Sino-foreign cooperative education by the Ministry of Education and is significant for guiding the cooperative education of universities. He hoped that all colleges and universities gain improvement after the seminar, and further grasp the key points of cooperative education evaluation, and be well-prepared for the evaluation. Zhang Deqiang stressed that high-quality development is the requirement of the times for Sino-foreign cooperative education in the new development stage, and is the direction Sino-foreign cooperative education heading for. Universities should firmly grasp the core of the curriculum, teaching materials, and teaching construction, train teaching staff with high quality, build a high-level research platform, and promote high-quality development of cooperative education driven by high-quality scientific research.
