On the afternoon of April 29th, Shandong University of Finance and Economics and Bank of Beijing (Jinan Branch) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Jinan Branch and heldanunveiling ceremony of college students' social practice base. Zhang Xin, Vice President of the university, together withthePresident of Bank of Beijing (Jinan Branch), Fang Xu, student of Planning Statistics of the class 1988, Vice President Tian Hong and Assistant to President Liao Jin,and other participants attended the ceremony.
Zhang Xin and Fang Xu inaugurated the social practice base for college students. Tian Hong, Director of Cooperation and Development Office of SDUFE, and Liu Qiyao, Director of Alumni Office of SDUFE, signed a contract on behalf of both sides. Personnel from relevant departments of Bank of Beijing (Jinan Branch), heads of School of Finance, Youth League Committee, Cooperation and Development Office (Alumni Work Office), representative alumni of young staff and entrepreneurs of Bank of Beijing (Jinan Branch), alumni entrepreneurs and student representatives participated in the activity.
Fang Xu said in his speech thatyears after hisgraduation, he still has deep feelings for SDUFE, his alma mater, andhisteachers. He felt proud of the achievement made by SDUFE and hoped that he could, with different measures, helphisalma mater progress and train talents. He would take this unveiling and signing ceremony as a great opportunity to carry out further cooperation with SDUFE, establish more connectionsand achievea mutually beneficial outcome.
Zhang Xin introduced the development of the university and the social practice "Three Thousand Plan" and other practical education initiatives in his speech and thanked the Bank of Beijing (Jinan Branch) for its support and help in all aspects of talent training. He pointed out that the two sides will carry out cooperation in students’practice and internship, talents employment,and joint construction of university and enterprises in a bid to further deepen the integration of production, education, research, and application. Establishing a society practice base for college students in the Bank of Beijing (Jinan Branch) is an important measure to help young students grow. Zhang Xin hoped that the two sides could remain true to their aspiration of cooperation, be pragmatic and carry out collaboration inthespirit of gaining fruitful results.
This activity is held as the May 4th youth day approaching. Liao Jin shared with all participants Ding Zhen, the tourism image ambassador of Ganzi Litang, Sichuan Province, and the youth story of Wu Nixing, image spokesperson of Bank of Beijing (Jinan Branch), a 2015 graduate of SDUFE, and issued a "Youth Talent Development Plan (YTDP)," hoping that the two sides could share resources with each other and complementary advantages, jointly train excellent youth together. Tang Xiao, Wu Nixing, Tang Hao and Jiang Yanan, four young employees who graduated from SDUFE, performed a poem recitation with the theme of the campus song" Dream of Flowers”.The performanceled all participants toreminisceabouttheir alma mater and torecallthe university history of nearly 70 years and the spirit of the school motto "Be bright and virtuous, and pursue knowledge”.This school mottoreflected the deep feeling of the alma mater of the alumni. In addition, representatives of young alumni and entrepreneurs of SDUFE and young employees of Bank of Beijing (Jinan Branch) also had an in-depth exchange and discussion.
Over the years, the Bank of Beijing (Jinan Branch) has maintained close contact and communication with the university, and established cooperation relations in student practice, internship, and talent recruitment. At present, nearly one-third of 700-odd employees of the Bank of Beijing (Jinan Branch) graduated from SDUFE. In the period of epidemic prevention and control in the spring of 2020, Bank of Beijing (Jinan Branch) donated 300,000 yuan to the Education Foundation of the university to fund 60 students from poor families.
