On March 2, a signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Cooperation between the China-Japan-Korea Research Institute of Shandong University of Finance and Economics and the Center for Korean Peninsula Studies of Peking University was held online. President Zhao Zhongxiu, Vice President Tao Hu of the University, Director Kim Donggil, and Researcher Ko Younghwa of the Center for Korean Peninsula Studies of Peking University attended the signing ceremony. Relevant leaders from the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation, the Institute of Foreign Languages, the China-Japan-Korea Research Institute, and representatives from the Center for Korean Peninsula Studies of Peking University attended the meeting.
According to the mutual memorandum of cooperation, the two sides reached a number of consensus on cooperation in the research mode and content of Korean studies, Korean language promotion, a joint publication of works, and think tank construction. Both sides will co-organize academic seminars, jointly apply for research projects, facilitate exchanges between Chinese and Korean teachers and students, to contribute to regional economic and social development.
