Recently, our very own Professor Peng Hongfeng from the School of Finance was selected for the 2020 National Talent Project. This won him the honorary title of National Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions. The talent project is initiated by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security together with the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, National Development and Reform Commission, the Natural Science Foundation, and China Association for Science and Technology. The search is dedicated to the selection and training of young and middle-aged academic technical talents for major talent projects.

Peng Hongfeng, PhD in Finance, professor, doctoral supervisor, and currently dean of the School of Finance of our University, is the chief expert for major projects of the National Social Science Fund, the special expert of Taishan Scholars in Shandong Province, the winner of the fourth Liu Shibai Economics Prize, and the winner of Shandong Provincial Award for High-end Financial Talents. Peng Hongfeng's research interests include RMB internationalization, financial derivatives, financial product design and risk management.

In recent years, Professor Peng Hongfeng has presided over more than 10 major projects of the National Social Science Fund, the National Natural Science Fund and the Humanities and Social Science Planning Fund of the Ministry of Education, and he is also the principal accomplisher or participant to the following projects: major national social science fund projects, natural science foundation of major research plan key support project, the Ministry of Education major in humanities and social science research projects, national natural science foundation of China, China's Ministry of Education late funded key projects, the Ministry of Education of humanities and social science fund projects. He has published more than 60 papers in economic Research, World Economy, World Management, Financial Research, Statistical Research, Finance and Trade Economics, Systems Engineering Theory and Practice, International Financial Research, China Management Science, World Economic Research and Accounting and Finance.
