COVID-19 could not stop the arrival of the beautiful graduation season and refrain the students of SDUFE from saying goodbye to their Alma mater. On the morning of June 21st, the Class of 2020 Graduation and Degree Conferring Ceremony of Shandong University of Finance and Economics was ceremoniously held at Yanshan campus. Party Secretary Wang Shaojun, President Zhao Zhongxiu, Vice President Qi Haodong, Han Zuosheng, Chen Xiaolan, Zhang Shuxue, Zhang Xin, as well as directors of some departments, over 30 graduate representatives of undergraduate, master and doctoral students attended the ceremony. Zhao Youchun, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, presided over the ceremony.
Early in the morning, the graduates in academic dress in two’s and three’s, calling friends and inviting company, took precious group photos at their Alma mater, in front of the sports field, the library, the school motto stone edge and the office building in front of the huge graduation publicity board, to seize the memory of youth.
In accordance with the strict epidemic prevention and control measures, the main venue was set up at the conference hall on the seventh floor of the office building of Yanshan campus. The graduation ceremony began at 9:30am with the graduation season MV "My nostalgia, My Song". The University Party Secretary Wang Shaojun, together with President Zhao Zhongxiu extended warm regards to all the graduates, wishing the graduates a happy graduation, and a pleasant and bright future.
The online ceremony, by virtue of 5G technology, was live-streamed on multiple platforms, including Tik Tok, Bilibili, Weibo and Zhongwang Lianbo (China Network Broadcast). Some colleges organized graduates to watch the ceremony in groups, and many graduates and their parents watched it via the webcast. By 12p.m., the number of the viewers had reached 198, 000.
