On November 8, Prof. Peter Jungen, Founding President of Business Angels Netzwerk Deutschland (BAND), gave a lecture on the title ofDevelopment of China in the Last 50 Years to the students and teachers of SDUFE at the invitation of President Zhao Zhongxiu.

In his welcoming speech, President Zhao firstly expressed his gratitude for Prof. Jungen’s coming and said that SDUFE had been committed to providing the forefront and the most abundant thought exchange platform for the school teachers and students to promote academic exchanges at home and abroad amid global economic integration. President Zhao believes that Prof. Jungen’s keynote lecture will be instrumental for the participants to view the development course of China's economy correctly and clarify the future trend of China's economy.

In his lecture, Prof. Jungen reviewed the history of China's economic development in the past 50 years and looked forward to its bright future. First of all, taking the world economic development as the background and combining with specific examples, Prof. Jungen expounds on the contribution of scientific and technological innovation, institutional reform, and other factors to China's economic development. Then, he analyzed the three stages of China's economic growth, further explained the driving force of the development of multinational companies and overseas markets since the reform and opening up of China's economy, and pointed out that the role of China's economy in the world economic development is increasingly significant. Finally, Prof. Jungen summarized the reasons for China's great achievements and predicted the future development trend of China's economy. After the lecture, Prof. Jungen had an enthusiastic academic exchange with the teachers and students. Meanwhile, President Zhao issued a Certificate of Honor Professor of SDUFE to Prof. Jungen.
