Jeju University delegation visits SDUFE

On November 13, Song Xiyan, the rector of Jeju University, led a delegation of 7 members to visit SDUFE. President Zhao Zhongxiu and vice president Han Zuosheng met the guests.Representatives from relevant departments were also present, including the Center of Teacher Development and Evaluation, Graduate School, and International Office.

On behalf of our University, President Zhao extended his welcome to the delegation and made an introduction into SDUFE and its recent developments. Since openness and cooperation is the theme of China's development, Shandong province is pushing forward the construction of a new highland for opening up to the outside world. President Zhao pointed out that, as the commitment to building platforms for international exchanges and cooperation, SDUFE wishes to work with Jeju University in personnel training, scientific research, international exchanges, and other aspects for further promoting the quality of higher education in the region of Shandong and Jeju and contribute more to the development of Northeast Asia. Vice president Han Zuosheng introduced the quality of enrollment, discipline construction, faculty, and international expansion of our school. He also hoped that the two sides could build high-level cooperation projects in the corresponding scientific fields to provide a high-quality international education platform for teachers and students of our two universities.

Song Xiyan felt honored to visit the hometown of Confucius and Mencius as well as SDUFE. Rector Song then also introduced Jeju University about its discipline advantages and English teaching majors, and invited his counterparts to Jeju University for closer exchanges and communication, wishing that the two sides can continuously enhance friendship, all-round exchanges, and cooperation, and jointly cultivate high-quality talents with an international perspective.

The two sides discussed and reached preliminary cooperation intentions on relevant issues such as student exchange programs, postgraduate study visits, China-Japan-ROK research institutes, overseas training bases for cultural and tourism majors, and summer internship exchange programs.
