Annual Meeting of Undergraduate Joint Program Management Committee Between SDUFE and Dal Held at SDUFE

On Oct.31, the annual meeting ofUndergraduate Joint Program Management Committee between Shandong University of Finance and Economics and Dalhousie Universitywas held at SDUFE. Chris Moore, deputy rector of Dalhousie University, Barry Lesser, professor and program manager and Shannon Peng, program coordinator were present at the meeting. President Zhao Zhongxiu met the guests and expressed that SDUFE will enrich bilateral cooperation and provide its students and teachers with more exchange opportunities. President Zhaoalsoexpressed that bilateral cooperation over recent years has yielded fruitful results with established programs and the Universityhopeto invite professors from Dalhousie University to give summer courses.

In his speech, Chris Moore firstly thanked President Zhao for his invitation and highly praised the achievement over past years. He mentioned that the programs have been satisfactory that could be proved by the total successful application of this year’s undergraduates to postgraduates at Dalhousie University, which has been regarded as asuccessfulprogram model. Mr. Moore extended his gratitude to SDUFE for its efforts and wishes for further cooperation between two schools.

Since itsestablishment,theEconomics program have achieved great cooperation with excellentperformance of students from SDUFE and 4 of them winningthe medal ofDalhousie University. In 2019, a total of 14 undergraduate students have all been admitted by North American and Britain universities. The program not only helps to foster international talents, but also provides training for teachers in batches. TheManagementCommittee on Education Project Management holds meeting annually and consists of heads of relevant departments from both universities and their deputy presidents, aiming to summarize the past work and develop plans for future tasks.
